About the Role
As Head of the Property Management Department, you will lead a close-knit team, manage your own residential portfolio, and oversee the department's day-to-day operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining portfolio management with people development and strategic input.
Key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the daily operations and performance of the property management department
Managing a portfolio of residential properties
Leading and mentoring the property management team
Handling client escalations and complex issues
Conducting team meetings and managing workflow
Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of team members
Driving culture, performance, and department growth
About You
Our ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented Senior / Team Lead Property Manager with a proven track record in leadership. You should excel in providing high-quality customer service, have strong organisational skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Key qualities we’re looking for include:
Minimum of 7 years experience in residential property management
Previous leadership or team oversight experience preferred (Senior / Team Lead)
Strong knowledge of Victorian tenancy legislation
Excellent communication and people management skills
Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to a modern, paperless office
A team-first mindset and a passion for mentoring and growing others
